The Towanda School District's Drama Club under the direction of long-time community theatre member member and educator Julie Larnard-Newbury, has active troops at the Junior/Senior High School. The Club, through its productions, engages young people in all aspects of Drama activities from acting, directing, and production to the technical. Its members learn first-hand the basics in acting, lighting, costuming, props and set construction, publicity and tickets. The Club also works closely with the Towanda High School Music Department in the production of the yearly THS Musical.

The Club is completely self-supporting through ticket sales to their productions and is open to all members of the student body with an able assist from family and community members. Winding River Players is delighted to host the Drama/Musical pages for Towanda and is fortunate to have a number of its young people involved in our community theatre productions.
